ANDREWS, Michael Gordon (Age 70) Passed away September 6th in Spokane, WA, at the VA Hospital. He was born February 28, 1940 to Robert B. Andrews Sr. and Dorothy K. Andrews in Portland, OR. Michael spent most of his childhood in Spokane WA, where he belonged to the Order of DeMolay and graduated from West Valley High School in 1958. After high school Michael joined the US Navy and in 1963 received an Honorable Discharge. During his adult life, he lived primarily in Portland, OR. where he enjoyed a fruitful career in the heavy equipment industry. Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman enjoying all things wild. He was a wonderful storyteller, kept a beautiful yard and enjoyed cooking. Later he retired to his hometown of Spokane Valley. Michael is survived by his Mother, Dorothy K. Andrews, his brothers, Robert B. Andrews Jr. and Spencer K. Andrews, his children, Kathryn J. Ivory, Stacey L. Dilworth, and Spencer "Todd" Andrews and two grand-children, Sydney L. Needham and John "Jack" P. Ivory. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert B Andrews Sr, son Michael G. Andrews Jr., and brother Mark W. Andrews. Michael was cremated at Thornhill Valley Chapel. Donations in Michael's honor may be made in his name to The Veterans Memorial Center, Hospice Unit, 4815 N. Assembly St. Spokane, WA 99205
