HAFFNER, Ronald D. Ronald was born on January 13, 1940 in Spokane, WA to Irma Plunkett and Donald Haffner. He passed away on February 15, 2014 in Spokane, WA at the age of 74. He lived in Spokane all his life except one year when he lived in Oregon. Ronald attended and was a proud graduate of Arlington Elementary, John R. Rogers High School (Class of '58), and Whitworth College (Class of '62). He married Sally Ann on July 3, 1968 in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. In his later years, Ron enjoyed Fantasy Football, Whitworth Athletics, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his high school friends. He was also involved in the Softball Association. Ronald is survived by his wife, Sally Ann Haffner; son, Randall Scott Haffner in Spokane, WA; daughter, Holly Ann (Karl) Orbeta in Seattle, WA; brother, Allen (Sindy) Haffner in Richland, WA; sister, Adrianne (Mike) King in Spokane, WA; one grandchild, Cody Duke Haffner and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald; Mother, Irma and sister, Florence Weir. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 2 to 6 pm at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home (2203 N. Division). The Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 1 pm also at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park following the service.
