KIEHL, Don J. (Age 51) Passed away on March 10, 2014. Don was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on May 15, 1962 to Don and Louise Kiehl (Gledhill) and graduated from Gonzaga Preparatory High School and Eastern Washington University. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; and daughter, Karen. Don is also survived by his two sisters: Gail (Vern) White and Tracy Kiehl; plus step brothers, Bruce and Brian Gledhill; and step sister, Tracy Stauffer Beck. Don worked as a home inspector in the Spokane area for the past 15 years. He was the long-time head of the off-ice officials for the Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club. He also volunteered for over ten years for Spokane Hoopfest as a court monitor and marshal. The family would like to thank the nurses in the CICU at Sacred Heart Medical Center for their care during Don's illness. They would also like to thank our friend Margaret who kept a constant watch on Don over the past few weeks when we could not be there. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St Thomas More Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
