HOOVER, Lillian Rhoda Lillian Rhoda Hoover, firstborn of Owen and Ruby Womach of Spokane, WA, was born on December 18, 1923, in Rocklyn, WA. The family moved to Spokane in 1930. Lillian attended North Central High School and graduated in 1943. During her teens she was highly involved in the Foursquare Church, acting as President of her youth group and loved music and worship. She and her high school sweetheart, Robert "Bob" D. Hoover, who came home on leave before serving overseas in the Navy, were married on November 3, 1945. After the war, Lillian and Bob attended Northwest Bible College in Kirkland, Wa. Their first daughter was born while living there. After graduation, they moved back to Spokane where they had a son, then another daughter. With the family of three children they enjoyed taking time for camping, swimming and fishing. Lillian also spent a lot of time as a volunteer working with the Bluebirds and Brownies organizations, and was on the planning committee for Sacajawea Jr. High School. Lillian worked as secretary for Morris Moving and Storage, accountant Bob Moe and Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. She also was self employed as a "Home Interiors" representative for over 20 years She was a devout Christian and taught Sunday school classes, sang in the church choir and was very active in Women's Ministry at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church where she and Bob were members for over 53 years. She was a true leader in the church, supporting and encouraging others in their faith in God's Word. Lillian enjoyed baseball and especially golfing with her husband Bob. She always kept active throughout her life and enjoyed gardening at their home in Spokane. She was residing for the last nine months at Harvard Park Retirement, where she made a lot of good friends and loved the staff and her new neighbors. On March 27, 2014, she went to be with the Lord, her Heavenly Father and Savior. We will miss her smile, laughter, playful banter, her vivacious personality and ability to make friends with anyone.
