PAXSON, Marian (Age 87) Of Spokane Valley, WA left us peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. She was born in Newport, WA, on October 27, 1926, to the late Martha and Richard Madison. Marian grew up in the country, and lived the life of a small town farm girl. In her 20's, Marian met and married the late Roy Paxson, whom blessed her with two wonderful boys. Shortly after, Roy and Marian divorced, and she met her late, loving partner, Don Higginbotham in 1966, though never married, Don and Marian were lifelong sweethearts. After spending approximately 30 years together, the love of her life, Don, in 1996 passed away. Marian never remarried. Marian had a big heart, especially for children. She spent many years working for one daycare on E. Valleyway, in Spokane Valley, WA and closely following her retirement, she spent much of her time volunteering at the local school, Broadway Elementary also in Spokane Valley, WA. Besides her love for children, Marian enjoyed painting her canvases and ceramics, and making sure her backyard was bright and full of lots of beautiful flowers. Marian is survived by her two boys; Ken R. Paxson, of Spokane Valley; and Kevin T. Paxson, also of Spokane Valley. Her five grandchildren; Michael Paxson, Anthony Paxson, Ashley Morse, Richael Paxson and Donald Paxson, all of Spokane Valley, her two great-grandchildren; Khailer Paxson and Ryan Rojas.
