ROCKSTROM, Richard Wayne "Dick"
(Age 82)
April 10, 1932 -
May 3, 2014

Born and resided in Spokane his whole life. Dick graduated from North Central High School in 1950. He really enjoyed his first job working at the Shell gas station located in the Gonzaga School district area. Dick was a member of the Carpenters Local 59 union for over 50 years. He retired from Modern Drywall in 1995.

Dick loved to play golf and was a charter member of the men's club at MeadowWood Golf Course. Over his years of golfing he obtained three "hole-in-ones". For years he spent many happy hours flying kites at Ocean Shores, WA. Dick so enjoyed all of his friends at Felts Field Airport and looked forward to Saturdays, flying to various locations with his buddies and having breakfast with them. Another favorite was traveling and sightseeing as well as playing cards and games. He enjoyed telling stories and was known to be good natured and kind hearted. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

He leaves behind his cherished wife, JoAnn of 36 years, his beloved dogs, Cricket and Misty, daughters Lin (Jerry) Gregerson in Shelton, WA; Julie Warner in Spokane, WA; Sandy (John) Smith in Payson, AZ; AnnaMarie Rockstrom in Spokane, WA and Teri (Mark) Mindermann in Spokane, WA; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Carol Rockstrom, numerous nieces and one nephew. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Clover Rockstrom and one brother, James Rockstrom.
