BORCHERT, Eileen Joyce Passed away at home on April 21, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 3, 1936, to Harvey and Thelma Jamieson in South Connellsville, PA. Eileen graduated from Oil City High School in 1954 and in 1957 she graduated from Hamot Hospital School of Nursing. She was an Air Force wife and endured many moves over the years. Eileen loved being a registered nurse and attained many awards including Nurse of the Year in 1974. Her Title: Eileen Borchert R.N., I.C.U.-C.C.U.-P.I.C. She retired from the Spokane VA Hospital in 1993. Eileen loved all sports, reading, playing cards, traveling, being with her family. She is survived by her sister; Karen Reyes of Spokane; brother, James Jamieson of Fountain Valley, CA; her son, David Borchert; her daughters, Deborah Moore (Brian), Deanna Lesser (Scott), and Denise Eileen Borchert; grandchildren, 6; great-grand- children, 5; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A "Celebration of Eileen's Life" will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 beginning at 2:30PM in the Sunset Chapel 5200 W Wellesley Ave., followed by a graveside urn placement.
