WIEDERHOLD, Dorothy Anne Dorothy Anne Wiederhold, age "25 +", died on July 24, 2014, having spent her last days in Hospice House, South, after living at Harbor Crest Assisted Living. She was the second child born to William and Jessie McCurry. She went to Catholic grade and St. Mary's High School in Portland. She loved ballet dancing, including being on stage at the Civic Auditorium in Portland, OR. She had told me, Theresa, she could not continue to dance and work as a nurse (it was too hard on the feet). She chose nursing and entered St. Vincent Nursing School, which had an association with University of Portland. After graduation, she went work in eye surgery, taught in nursing school, taught "Mother and Baby" classes, worked in an industrial clinic. Later, she went back to school, getting a couple of master's degrees and teaching health in the local community colleges. She married Carl A. Wiederhold and raised their five children. Joseph Wiederhold, Theresa Wiederhold (Mark Becker, children: Katherine and Christopher Becker), Patrick Wiederhold, MaryCatherine Wiederhold (Jonathan Grossman), and Kathleen Walker (Floyd) in Portland. Then they moved to the Oregon Coast. She worked for the Newport Community Center teaching exercises classes in the center and in assisted living/nursing homes. Even after she moved to Spokane, she taught exercise classes at the Memory Care Unit at Harbor Crest. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am, August 2, 2014, in St. Ann Catholic Church, 2120 E. 1st Ave., Spokane, WA. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Interment will be at Eureka Cemetery in Newport, Oregon.
