STACEY, Leo Earl 91 Years of Life Leo passed peacefully into his final rest on July 31, 2014 at his home in Spokane County. He was born to Alice and Robert Stacey on May 2, 1923 in Sac City, Iowa. Leo was preceded in deathy by his wife of 68 years, Margaret, his parents, a twin brother Cleo and two sisters, Verna and Alliene. Leo was a decorated WWII soldier who saw battle action throughout Europe, including Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes Forest and Germany. He received four Bronze Battle Stars and a Purple Heart during his three year tour on the front lines. He spent 30 years of his life working at the John Deere tractor factory in Waterloo, IA. He was also very active with the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Department as a reservist and Court Bailiff after his retirement. Leo and his wife Margaret retired to Eastern Washington to live with their son Jerry in 2002. Leo enjoyed travel, poking around old dumps and structures with his metal detector, Indian casinos and coin collecting. Leo has four surviving sons, Jerry (LeDonna) of Spokane, WA; Dan (Margaret) of Helena, MT; Ron (Kathy) of Helena, MT; and Randy (Pam) of Waterloo, IA. His immediate family is large, including four loving daughter-in-laws, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside Funeral Services and Interment will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 9, 2014, in Deer Park at the Woodland Cemetery, located at West 5410 Monroe Road.
