He grew up in Fort Worth, graduated from Paschal High School in 1965, and attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. As a young man Bob had several interesting jobs. Bob moved to Spokane in 1997 and continued his photography of the local wildlife in the area, including Alberta, Canada. He particularly enjoyed the challenge of photographing the bald eagles at Lake Coeur d'Alene. Bob was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother, Paul. He is survived by his wife, Elaine and son, Robert G. Bennett, Jr. A memorial service honoring Bob's life was held at Heritage Funeral Chapel on July 31, 2014.
