ROCKNESS, Charles Alan "Chuck" Passed away peace-fully after fighting his courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, March 27th at his home in Rosalia, Washington surrounded by his family. Born June 4, 1937, to Omar and Bertha Rockness. Chuck grew up in Seattle, Washington and moved to Rosalia, Washington while married to Karen Rockness where they raised their children. Chuck started his career as a professional fisherman, which he enjoyed doing for ten years. He then became a certified public accountant, serving accounting clients and managing fishing industry insurance pools. He enjoyed serving his fisherman and tax clients for over forty years - many of which he considered his close friends. Chuck was a proud member of the Rosalia Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and his twin infant brother. Chuck spent countless and unforgettable hours with his family (including Maddie his cocker spaniel), telling stories about his childhood, watching The Mariners and Fox News, fishing at Chapman Lake, and sharing his love for life. Chuck will be loved and forever missed by those he preceded in death - his wife Karen Rockness, his son Ron Rockness, daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Jim Delaney, daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Jeff Bishop, daughter Kirsten McCurtain, brother and sister-in-law Howard and Joanne Rockness, sister and brother-in-law Charlene and Robert Knapp, sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Gary Sutherland, seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosalia Volunteer Firefighters Association, P.O. Box 291, Rosalia, Washington 99170.
