DAHL, James L. Born September 17, 1948, went home to be with the Lord on the evening of Sunday, June 27, 2010 from injuries that resulted from a tragic accident. Jim and his wife Joy are owners of Chet's Flowers in Cheney. They purchased the business two years and together with their daughter Becky Jeffries have come to love this community and the people that are here. The flower shop was Jim's life, other than his wife, children, grandchildren, family, traveling, camping and fishing. He was always fixing things around the shop. He always wanted things to be "efficient" as he would say. Jim kept everyone on their toes with his funny jokes and never knowing what his next move was going to be. Jim was an extraordinary person that had so much love to give. Jim worshiped the ground that Joy walked on and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for HER! They loved to travel with the camper on the back of the truck and the boat in tow. Jim and Joy spent lots of hours trolling the lakes while Joy read her book and Jimfished till he had to many fish. Jim was loved by many and always will be. His unconditional love, compassion, humor and the joy he brought to others will be missed. Jim touched many peoples hearts in many ways. We love you and will miss you greatly. Jim is survived by his dear wife Joy Dahl; two children from his previous marriage-Dave Dahl-Kennewick, WA, Julie Dahl and fiancé Jay-Kennewick, WA. His other two children of his current marriage- Becky and Bill Jeffries-Cheney, WA, Chris and Lindsey Evertz-Polson, MT.
