Michael Tomlinson, 63, of Spokane, passed away on January 18, 2011 of sudden health complications. Michael passed away peacefully at Providence Sacred Heart surrounded by family members.
Michael was born August 11, 1947, in Spokane, Washington to Edward R. and Bernice M. Tomlinson. He is preceded in death by his mother, Bernice M. Tomlinson and grandson, Ryan Rost.
Mike attended Spokane Schools while growing up on Joseph Street in Northeast Spokane. The family eventually moved to Chattaroy, Washington where Mike attended Riverside High School becoming active in a variety of sports. After leaving high school, Mike joined the US Navy and was stationed at Mirmar Naval Station.
Mike's many interests included spending summer days attending the Annual Country Music Festival at Bull Lake, MT, watching NASCAR racing and belonging to the Roving Gamblers Motorcycle Club.
Mike's previous employment included: Kaiser Aluminum, J&L Trucking, Snyders Bakery and Ash Grove Cement Company. Mike's poor health found him in early "retirement", visiting with friends and sharing the proverbial funny story.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Pattie Tomlinson; father, Edward R. Tomlinson (Barbara Garrison); brother, Danny L. Tomlinson (Rose); children, Edward Tomlinson (Sarah), Stoney Johnson, Jody Cushner (Ted), Shari Hiibel (Howard) of Pittsburg, CA, April Rubbert; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Family and friends are invited to join us for a celebration of Michael's life at Mr. G's, 3207 E. Sprague Avenue, Saturday, February 5th at 3pm.

Mike and I were as you would say, "Good truck drivin buddies". Spent alot of good times with Mike drinking beer on Friday at the Yardley Tavern after our week of driving was up. Have fond and funny memories of being lucky enough to have Mike as a friend. May you rest in peace buddy.

Pattie, I'm truley soo sorry about your lose. You two were such a happy couple and he loved you soo much. I'm so sorry for everything. Only time can get you through this hard time, and because you are an incredibly strong women, you will make it. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
