Barry Bybee Obituary

BYBEE, Barry

Barry Thomas Bybee died November 27, 2011 at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sherry Bybee, in Spokane. He was 62 years old. Barry was born January 11, 1949 in Colfax to Kenneth Sr. and Maree Bybee. After gradu- ating from North Central H.S. in 1967, he attended EWSC and was active in the U.S. Army Reserves. In 1975 he graduated from WSU with his BS in Mechanical Engineering and worked at various companies such as Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton and Boeing in Seattle. He also had his own vehicle and computer repair businesses. Always the free spirit, he loved the thrill of hang-gliding off mountains and panning for gold in meadow streams. Barry devoted his life to Jesus Christ and touched the lives of many people with his smile, gentle nature and generosity. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Kenneth Jr. and Sherry Bybee, Belinda and Ken Fadeley, Susan and David Gasch, Michael Bybee, Mary and Jan Ivar Simonsen, Richard Bybee, and Lisa and Marv Crosby; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Holy Cross Mausoleum Chapel, 7200 N. Wall, Spokane, on Saturday, December 3, 2011, 1:00 p.m. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Union Gospel Mission in Spokane or a charity of your choice.
