SUMNER, Richard Lawrence Dick was born in Spokane, Washington on August 10th, 1935. He passed away of an apparent heart attack in late May at his home in Renton, Washington. He is survived by his son Brian and two siblings, Robert, Dick's twin brother of Browns Point, and Gordon of Gig Harbor, Washington. He will be missed by his lifelong schoolmates and his good friend Michelle. Dick attended Wilson Grade School and Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane. He is served two years active duty at the U.S. Naval Training Center in San Diego and enrolled at the University of Washington after being honorably discharged. He later worked for American President Lines at their Seattle headquarters office. Services will be held at 1pm, August 1, 2013 at Tahoma National Veterans Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
