When he was quite young the family moved to Bellevue, WA where they lived in a tent and his father worked at the Bremerton shipyards. The family then moved to Cle Elum, WA where Jerry began school. Jerry and Mary Lee Larson were married in San Bernardino on May 28, 1955. He soon joined the San Bernardino Police Department as a motorcycle policeman. After being thrown off, run over, shot at, and many other mishaps, he took a medical retirement and moved with his family to the quiet of North Idaho. Jerry joined the Kootenai County Sheriffs Department in 1977 and retired in 1995. Jerry loved his family, his house on the hill, his motorcycle, and traveling and camping in his motor home.
