STOSE, Jay T. (Age 88) Passed away November 10, 2013. He was born July 2, 1925 in Spokane to Jay and Lula Stose and was a lifetime resident of the Spokane Valley. He retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad as a conductor. He attended Central Valley schools and joined the US Army, serving in WWII in the construction engineers. He was a longtime member of the Spokane Elk's Lodge #228 and Episcopal Church of the Resurrection and a former member of University SCOPE program. Jay is survived by his sons Ronald (Susan), Donald (Sherry), William (Sherrie) and Robert Stose; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Kathleen and Bessie Kallas, Frances (Francis) Veit; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary in 2012 and all of his siblings. Memorial Service 2PM, Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 15319 E. 8th Ave. Spokane Valley, WA 99037. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Hospice of Spokane. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Guardian Angel Home, Liberty Lake for their excellent care of both of our parents.
