WILLIAMS, Dwaine Wendell (Age 69) Beloved husband, father and friend, Dwaine Wendell Williams, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, March 23rd in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Williams of Spokane, WA; his daughter, Marcia Inoue and spouse, Egan, grandchildren: Nika, Tia, Tegan, Keani and Jett; his son, Jonathan Williams and spouse, Carol, grandchildren: Eilam and Myla; and daughter, Sarita Williams. His siblings: Phyllis Krueger and spouse Chuck, Kathy Burke and Dan Williams and spouse Nancy. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. He was born on September 16, 1945 in Caldwell, Idaho, to parents Floyd W. Williams and Anna C. Williams. During his youth he enjoyed playing football, farming and singing in the youth choir. He attended George Fox College and Loma Linda University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. At Loma Linda he met his wife, Rebecca L Salazar and they were married in 1968 and moved to Spokane, Washington the following year. He did extensive work as a physical therapist in hospitals, private practice and skilled nursing facilities within the Spokane area. Dwaine had a faithful heart for service and missionary work, which took him to Vietnam, Peru, Bolivia and Jamaica. He was a great family man and a loving father. He drew great joy from his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved traveling to visit family and his travels took him as far as Germany, Kenya, Costa Rica, Paraguay and Brazil. Dwaine was deeply involved at Spokane Friends Church. He enjoyed singing with the Spokane Melody Singers, playing piano, hiking and biking, doing handyman and mechanic work and working at his in-laws olive orchard in California. His friends and family will always remember him as a man of strong faith, full of life and a great sense of humor. He loved the taste of crunchy peanut butter, black licorice and just about anything sweet. A Celebration of Life for Dwaine is scheduled for Friday, April 3rd, 2015 at Spokane Friends Church with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
