Dorothy Clinton, 91, of Pasadena died August 14, 2012, at home in Houston with her family at her side.
Born in Pineville, Kentucky, Dorothy met and married the love of her life, John, during WWII in Miami. They made Pasadena their home, and raised a loving family. Dorothy enjoyed working at the "old" Southmore Hospital Lab and gave much of her time to First Presbyterian Church.
Dorothy Clinton led a truly blessed life. People who knew her will never forget her warm and truly generous nature. She will be missed.
Preceded in death by her husband, John W. Clinton and daughter, Martha Elizabeth Forbes and granddaughter, Theresa Lynn Forbes Morgan.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Jane Philips (Michael) of Rockville, Maryland and her son, The Honorable John W. "Johnny" Clinton, Jr. (Lus) of Spring, Texas. Dorothy was a loving grandmother. Martha's children include: Debra Jane Folmsbee (Philip), Michael (Verona) and Stephen Forbes (Lisa). Jane's children include Jeffrey, Peter and John Philips. Johnny's children include John Clinton, III (Kristal), Cristin, Lantz and Matthew Clinton. Dorothy is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8pm at Rosewood Funeral Home 3939 Pasadena Boulevard in Pasadena. The funeral will be held at noon on Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Pasadena. Burial will be in Forest Park East Cemetery.
