KUSHMAUL, Martha M. 80, of Springfield, passed away Monday afternoon, July 15, 2013 in her son's home in Huber Heights. She was born in Dodsonville, Ohio on March 30, 1933, the daughter of the late Fred and Eunice (McLaughlin) Ollech. Martha retired from Meijer's following many years of service and previously worked at Twin Fair. She was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church. Survivors include a daughter, Carla J. Canales of Dayton; two sons, Robert L. (Starla) Kushmaul of Huber Heights and Carl W. "Wes" (Barb) Kushmaul of Fairborn; two sisters, Alma (David) Rutherford of Springfield and Frieda Suddereth of Springfield; four grandchildren, Brianna, Braydon, Michelle and Michael; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her friends and family at Bay Village Association, Indian Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Kushmaul Sr. in 2007; a son, Michael Kushmaul; and a brother, John Ollech. A celebration of Martha's life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Leslie Fox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. I had the pleasure of working with Martha at Meijer for a number of years. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful person and I know she will be greatly missed. Please know that our prayers are with her family.
