BANKS, Phyllis M.* - New Carlisle  
News Death Notice BANKS, Phyllis M. 88, of Medway, went to meet her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. She was born September 19, 1926 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the daughter of the late D. Lee and Glenna Faye (Bushong) Brown. She was also proceeded in death by a brother, Max Lee Brown. Phyllis was a devoted, wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ernest L. Banks; her daughter, Sharon L. Rittinger; a son, David L. (Sandra) Banks; four grandchildren, Benita Banks, Brandon Banks, Cynthia (Neal) Lindsay and Scott Rittinger, and 5 great grandchildren. Phyllis also had many friends and was loved by everyone who knew and cared for her. Phyllis was ever joyful in her life and in the Lord. A faithful member of Good Shepherd UMC church. She served her church family for many years, and loved teaching Sunday school and attending bible studies. Phyllis enjoyed crocheting blankets for her grandchildren, and was a talented cake decorator. A celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, the family will receive guests beginning at 11 AM followed by services at 12 PM with Pastor Harvey J. Hinshaw officiating at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Burial to follow at Medway Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.trostelchapman.com

News Death Notice BOYETTE, Gerald "Glenn" Passed away peacefully at his residence Wednesday June 24, 2015. He was born October 15, 1942 in Pensacola, Florida. Glenn was a Veteran of the US Army and had retired from the Florida Department of Transportation. He is survived by his wife Serena "Sandy" Boyette, son Michael and Vicki Boyette and family of Florida, step-son Charles "Andy" Kiess and Sandy and family of Portland, Texas, and step-son Adam and Michelle Kiess and family of Springfield. Special thoughts and love to his boys-grandsons Anthony and Jonah Kiess and faithful little girl-Bella. Burial will take place in Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.

BRITTON, Wilma E.* - Springfield  
News Death Notice BRITTON, Wilma E. 66 of Springfield, passed away Thursday June 25, 2015 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born May 29, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Chris F. and Mary Jane (Casto) Deneca, Sr. Wilma enjoyed spending time and playing with her grandkids. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Harold Britton, Sr.; three sons, Harold (Dawn) Britton, Jr., Richard (Amanda) Collins, all of Springfield, and Bobby (Heather) Britton of Byesville, Ohio; twelve grandchildren, Bobby Jr., Burgundy, Shay, Tyler, Caitlin, Stephanie, Marissa, Taylor, Kyleigh, Curtis, Jhett, and Tiffany; two great-grandchildren; siblings, George (Kathy) Deneca and Mary (Troy) Koons, all of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by grandson, Dustyn; two sisters; two brothers; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.

News Death Notice BROOKS, Elijah Taylor 16, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Elijah was born on July 10, 1998 in South Bend to Nathan S. Brooks and Danella R. Bishop and has been a lifelong resident of the South Bend and Mishawaka area. Elijah would have been a senior at Mishawaka High School this fall. He worked at the Martins Supermarket on Ironwood Drive near the St. Joseph River. Elijah loved playing basketball and listening to all kinds of music. Elijah is survived by his mother, Danella R. Bishop of South Bend; father, Nathan S. Brooks of Mishawaka; sisters, Ariela Bishop and Sheena Brooks; brothers, Hunter Knepp and Quincey Brooks; maternal grandmother, Nicole "Nana" R. Newhard of Madison, WI; maternal grandfather, Dan "Papaw" L. Bishop of South Bend; paternal grandmother, Denise Brooks of Urbana, OH; paternal grandfather, Tim (Joyce) Brooks of Springfield, OH; aunts, Dominique (Jeff) Armstrong of South Bend and Jennifer (Dale) Woolwine of Elkhart; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Memorial services for Elijah will be on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Apostolic Temple Church; 2221 S. Ironwood Drive; South Bend, IN 46613, where Rev. Chris Rowe will officiate. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses. BROWN, Kathleen (Worley)* - Springfield  
News Death Notice BROWN (Worley), Kathleen "Kathy" 81, of Springfield, passed away at her home, Friday evening, June 26, 2015. She was born in Springfield on February 11, 1934, the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Emma Mae (Hann) Worley. Kathy worked a total of 30 years at Dolbeer Cleaners and Wobbe Cleaners on N. Limestone St. She was a life-long member of First Freewill Baptist Church on Lafayette Ave. She leaves to cherish her memory five children, Kerry (Laura) Brown, Brian Brown, Marsha (Dave) Swonger, Patricia (Joseph) Baldwin, Johnny Mack (Marie) Brown; grandchildren, Kris, April, Jacob, Jade, Jordan, Matthew, Melanie, Meghan, Timothy, and Jennifer; a sister, Loretta Pride; 16 great-grandchildren including 'her girls' Jasalyn and Jayla; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her best friend, Pearl Sparks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall on May 12, 2015; granddaughters, Megan Renea and Erica Lee and great-grandson Matthew Bailey; one brother, Robert Worley; and two sisters, Betty Shoaf and Nellie Milton. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Kathy's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Rev. Mark Rucker officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Selvarajah and his staff for their devoted care.
