SATTERFIELD, Kenneth* - Springfield  
News Death Notice SATTERFIELD, Kenneth 71, of Springfield, Ohio passed away March 14, 2015. He was born July 3, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee the son of James and Hattie (Hanna) Satterfield. Kenneth had been employed as a mechanic and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. His memory will be cherished by his wife, Cynthia (Martin) Satterfield; sons, Shane, Kenny, Derrick and Willie Satterfield; brothers, Lynn, Charlie and Jesse Satterfield; sisters, Corine Farris and Agnes Mitchum, 13 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m until the time of service at 1 p.m. in St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Pleasant St. entrance. Burial in Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.

SCHIFFER, Gary D.* - Springfield  
News Death Notice SCHIFFER, Gary D. 61, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly in his home on March 19, 2015. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 26, 1953 the son of Eugene and Lena (Wilensky) Schiffer. Gary had worked as a baker and IT Specialist for a number of years throughout the country. He most recently was hired as an administrative assistant at Clark-Shawnee High School. He was a World War II enthusiast and a train collector. Survivors include his wife, Faith (Smith); one son, Barry Schiffer, Columbus; one sister, Elysa & Howard Kritz, Little Neck, NY; sister-in-law, Pamela (Dan) Kastrup and their children; brother-in-law, Michael (Rainey) Skimmerhorn and their children; niece, Hannah; nephews, Austin and Wyatt; brother and sister-in-law, Curt & Stacey Smith; mother-in-law, Sheila Skimmerhorn; his first wife, Susan Schiffer; many cousins and his four legged babies who watched over him when he passed. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, William Skimmerhorn and brother-in-law William Skimmerhorn, Jr. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 pm on Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm in the church with Pastor Roger Herrig officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Clark County Humane Society or the animal charity of your choice. The family is being served by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.

SHEEHAN, Louise Angela* - Springfield  
News Death Notice SHEEHAN, Louise Angela 99, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 25, 2015 in her residence with her children by her side. She was born December 21, 1915 in Springfield, OH to Charles William and Mary Elizabeth (Welch) Eierman. Louise was a lifelong member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, where she attended grades one through ten, and completed her high school years at the newly consolidated Catholic Central High School in 1933. She began working at the Boston Store and later worked for Crowell-Collier Publishing Company for several years. Survivors include her two children, Charles "Chuck" Sheehan and Rosemary Sheehan. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. in 1989. Louise was a life member of the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She loved to do all kinds of crafts, such as, china painting, ceramics and crocheting. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, was an avid Notre Dame and Cincinnati Reds fan. The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Derek Sherk from Visiting Physicians, for the care he provided to our mother over the years. Also, to Dr. Kevin Ahern and the nurses of Community Mercy Hospice, especially Jennifer, for making our mother comfortable in her final days. To our beautiful sweet mother, we thank you for being there for us. How blessed we were to have had you all these years. You showed us through your example to put our faith in God and the importance of family. We will keep you in our hearts forever. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernard Church with family receiving friends 1 ½ hours prior in the church, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church, 910 Lagonda Ave., Springfield, OH 45503. Arrangements are being handled by the CONROY FUNERAL HOME.

SNIPES, Eunice* - St Paris  
News Death Notice SNIPES, Eunice Age 95, of Troy passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in Koester Pavilion, Troy. Born on July 21, 1919 in Johnson County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Virgie (Rivers) Hannah. She married Archie E. Snipes on September 2, 1938 and he preceded her in death in 1993. Together they raised five children, all of whom survive. Daughter Elwanda Sue (Jim) Spillers of Sidney and four sons: Leroy (Evelyn) Snipes of Christiansburg; James (Cindy) Snipes of Troy; Paul (Robin) Snipes of New Carlisle; and Doug (Donna) Snipes of Troy. She was a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren: Jeff (Mari) Snipes, Debbie (Gary) Boyd, Jody (Rich) Spears, David (Cindy) Snipes, Bryan (Shannon) Snipes, Joel Hale, Jon (Lori) Allen, Kevin (Julie) Snipes, Stephanie (Jeff) Marshall and Andrew Snipes. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends. Eunice was very artistic and she enjoyed crocheting afghans, and drawing pictures of birds, butterflies and flowers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio with Miami County Hospice Chaplain John Shelton presiding. Burial will follow in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery, Christiansburg. STICKLEY, Suzanne D.* - St. Paris  
News Death Notice STICKLEY, Suzanne D. Passed into our Lord's loving hands Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was born on December 30, 1937 in Senecaville, Ohio to the late Richard and Edith Davidson Hinten. She graduated from Senecaville High School and worked as a payroll clerk at Universal Potteries in Cambridge, Ohio. Suzanne also worked as a child care giver for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband James A. Stickley in 2001 after 42 years of marriage. Suzanne was a 4-H advisor for 20 years and loved sewing, cooking, and going to children's and grandchildren's sporting and musical activities. Her home was a wonderful gathering place for many children, family and friends with an abundance of love, fellowship and good food. She is survived by a brother, Richard J. Hinten of Florida, uncle, Donald (Marcie) Hinten of Florida, brother-in-law Paul Dean (Sharon) Stickley of North Carolina and 3 children - Beth Ann (Greg) Fogelsong of Plain City, Ohio; Jennifer (John) Bloomquist of Helena, Montana; and James Stickley II (Lori) of St. Paris, Ohio. Grandchildren include: Robert Fogelsong, Allison Fogelsong, James Stickley III, Audrey Bloomquist, Samuel Stickley, and Caswell Bloomquist. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Suzanne was a member of Westville United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's group. A Celebration of Life service will be held, Saturday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Westville United Methodist Church followed by a private service at the Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to the Westville United Methodist Church (96 N. St. Rt. 560, Urbana, OH 43078) or Helena Education Foundation (P.O. SULLIVAN, Dr. John Robert "Jack"* - London  
News Death Notice SULLIVAN, John Robert "Dr. Jack" June 13, 1931-March 22, 2015 John Robert (Jack) Sullivan left us on Sunday, March 22, 2015 for greener pastures (he was Irish, you know). Jack was born and raised in London, Ohio of Jeremiah and Marie (Kelble) Sullivan. He had four other siblings, all sisters: Anita (Ned) Junk, Dorothy (Dick) Madden, Mary (Bob) Powers, and Jeanne (Bill) Kelleher. All these dear ones preceded Jack in death. Jack was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving as a medic in the war zone with a M.A.S.H. unit. On discharge from the Army, he followed his heart to Dayton, Ohio, where he married his war-time pen pal, Pauline Buck in 1954. Jack and Polly enjoyed over 54 wonderful years together before her death in 2008. Jack finished his pre-medical studies at the University of Dayton and medical school followed at the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. After an internship in Columbus, Ohio he entered private medical practice, most notably as a family physician in South Charleston, Ohio. Jack was an avid sports fan and served for thirty years as a team physician, and also served on the Ohio Sports Medicine Committee. Jack is survived by his children: Jon (Debra) Sullivan and sons Daniel (Anna) Sullivan and Samuel (Sophia) Sullivan. Daniel and Anna are the parents of Jack's great grandchildren: Joy and Cael. Lori Sullivan and children: Katie, Luke, Tsigae, Ryan, Almaz, and Sean Sullivan. Nancy (James) Armstrong and Children: Rachael, Jamésa, Sierra, and Thomas Armstrong. Sandra (Charlie) Minner and children: Hannah (fiancé: Emmanuel Akomeah), Sully, Colin and Jack Minner. Tim (DeAnna) Sullivan and daughters: Carley and Savannah Sullivan. Jack enjoyed his family, his friends, his books, his Buckeye Football, his flower gardening, his springer spaniel dog, Tippie, and in his later years, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He wants to say to all, "See you later". A celebration service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015, 11:00 AM, First Presbyterian Church, 15 N. Chillicothe Street, South Charleston, Ohio 45368. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by dedicating bibles to the Gideons International ( www.gideons.org ) or to the Presbyterian Church Capital Fund, PO Box P, South Charleston, Ohio 45368. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rader-Lynch & Dodds Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 124 E. High Street, London, Ohio.
