She also enjoyed playing bridge with her nearly life-long Springfield friends and Betty considered herself blessed by those friendships. In addition to her many other interests, Betty was an accomplished artist as her beautiful oil paintings and pencil drawings can attest. She was a fine piano player and, until her eyesight failed, it was one of her favorite pastimes. Many a family gathering was enlivened by her piano accompaniment to the vocal renditions of her children and friends. Betty was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
