News Death Notice

ALLAH, Divine "Bubby" whose given name was Barry Anthony Davis Jr., 38, of Springfield, Ohio passed away October 26, 2012 in Miami Valley Hospital. He was born September 1, 1974 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Barry A. and Debra (Howard) Davis Sr. He received his Bachelors Degree, Certificate of Completion in Carpentry and was in the process of receiving a government grant to establish a non-profit program to "Feed the Hungry". Bubby leaves to cherish his memory his parents, two sons, Dylon Colquitt and Shakir Davis; two daughters, Ciara Paris and Taleyah Davis; two granddaughters, Jordynn and Madisynn; two sisters, Nashea (Demon Ramey) Davis and Natiya (John) McFadden IV; maternal grandmother, Alberta Howard; aunts, Gloria (J.D.) Killebrew, Lois (James) Neal, Toyia Davis and Lori Davis; great uncle, Jesse (Mizella) Howard; great aunt, Betty Howard; special friends, Neyokko Lynn-Bray, Chris Green, Mychael Shaw and Rico Townes; special family, Betty "Mom" Henry, Lisa, Lindsay, Alan and Bobby Henry and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Caesar and Pauline (Yates) Davis; maternal grandmother, Mattie Lyles; maternal great grandmother, Martha Howard; aunts, Fannie B. Allen, Phyllis Young and Gloria Evans. Bubby was also affectionately known as "Poonie" to many of his family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 9-10 a.m. in St. John Missionary Baptist Church until the time of the service at 10 a.m. Burial in Ferncliff Cemetery.
