News Death Notice

PAULUS, Earnest Dwain 74, of Springfield, passed away peacefully Wednesday March 19, 2014 in Villa Springfield. He was born in Union, Ohio on January 18, 1940, the son of the late Raymond and Vesta (Hoke) Paulus. Earnest retired from Dist Trans Trucking. He loved the Lord most of all and his wife Rebecca of almost fifty-five years. His favorite hobby was gardening. He is survived by his wife Rebecca (Whitaker) Paulus; two sons, Richard Paulus and Kenneth Paulus; three daughters, Barbara Paulus, Beverly (John) Shingler, Cynthia (Mark) Ridenour all of Springfield; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Lucas) Pyles, Tiffany Shingler, Thomas (Jessica) Shingler, Rachel, Daniel and Jennifer Paulus; two great-grandchildren, Zachary Pyles and Lexi Shingler; seven brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Sarah Shingler. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held Monday March 24, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the International Pentecostal Church of Christ, 3333 East National Road with Rev. Richard Blevins and Rev. Steve Wilson officiating.
