News Death Notice

ENGLE, James E. 91, of Springfield passed away Friday, May 10, 2013. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on January 25, 1922, the son of Walter and Nancy Engle. Jim was raised in Sinking Creek Baptist Church, was a member of Donnels Creek Church of the Brethren for 59 years, and a current member of Springfield Church of Christ. He was a retired farmer, but continued working as an instructor until age 89 with Safeway Driving School. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Ruth Flory Engle; and granddaughter Angie Cain- Knauer; Jim's family would like to thank the Oakwood Village Glaesner Health Center for their exceptional care. Survivors include his wife Wanda L. (Williamson) Engle, whom he married December 2, 1961; children David (Joyce) Engle, Marcia (Dale) Palof, Larry (Margie) Engle, Kathy (Mike) Cain, Dana (Cheryl) Engle, and Caryl Engle; grandchildren Leann (Mickey) Castillo, Deidra Engle, Desiree Olivarez, Phillip (Rachel) Palof, Tommy Palof, Jennie (Chris) Kuznicki, James Engle, Michelle (Quentin) Young, Clark, Allison, and Grant Engle; great-grandchildren Lucas, Nathan, and Eli Castillo, Owen and Leo Kuznicki, Allie Knauer, and Liam Young. Family and friends may call Monday from 6-8 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. A celebration of Jim's life will be Tuesday at 11:00AM in the memorial home with Bill Warax and Pastor Mike Cain officiating. Burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
