John YOST


News Death Notice

YOST, Jr., John 81, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012. He was born November 7, 1930 in New Philadelphia, Ohio the son of the late John & Ruth Yost. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from General Motors. He enjoyed playing the dobro, bowling, and attending blue grass festivals with his wife, Lila and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Lynn (Randy) Galloway, John (Kelly) Yost and Steve Yost; grandchildren, Jason, Brandy, Rachel, Andrew, Hannah, Travis, Meghan & Tara; great grandchildren, Rosando & Johnny; sisters, Ruth (Bill), Margaret & Dorothy (Bob); nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, special friend, Joe Adrian. Joe, thanks for being good to dad. We know he cherished your friendship. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lila May Yost, they married September 8, 1956; brothers, Robert & Ralph; sisters; Pauline, Betty & Helen. The family would like to thank the staff at Dayspring Nursing Home and hospice for the loving care he received. We appreciate the special care given to dad during his stay and last days. The patience, tender care and concern toward his wellbeing will be remembered by those of us who loved him. Special thanks to pastors, Carter & Walden, you both hold a special place in the hearts of our family. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
