News Death Notice

CAMERON, Leona Nicey Leona Nicey Cameron, 84, transitioned from earth to Heaven at 8:30am. on Sunday, April 7, 2013, in her home with her family present. She was born February 17, 1929 in Huntsville, Alabama the daughter of the late Waddie Cosey and Mary Allen (Harris Cosey) Vance. Nicey retired from Community Hospital after many years of service. She leaves to cherish in her memory two sons, Paul Kenerly and Joe Kenerly Cameron both of Springfield, Ohio; two daughters, Clara Tolliver and Marcia Cameron; two brothers Charles (Martha) Vance of Detroit, Mi and Dale (Pricilla) Vance of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Joyce Isley of Springfield, Ohio, 15 grandchildren including a special granddaughter and caregiver Ameerah Cameron 32 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe Ed Cameron; her daughter Mattie Jennings; two grandson's Melvin Jennings and Tyrone Lasley; one great-great granddaughter DyMond Cosey Ross; four brothers: Harry Lee Vance, William (Willie) Vance, Fred Vance, and Richard Vance, Sr.; six sisters: Ola Mae Hereford, Willie Bea Jones, Ernestine Smith, Jamie Lou Vance, Lorrice Williams and Phyllis Vance. Viewing will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Trydestone Baptist Church from 6-8 pm. The Home Going will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Darryl Perry officiating. Services are entrusted to Washington Funeral Home, 1530 S. Yellow Springs St.
