Robert C. DOLBEER


News Death Notice

DOLBEER, Robert C. age 87 formerly of Springfield, Ohio passed away peacefully February 6, 2013 in Palm Bay, Florida. He was born on May 14, 1925 to the late Martin and Jennie (Clifton) Dolbeer. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie (Krayer) Dolbeer and a brother, Martin Dolbeer. He is survived by his brother, William (Martha) Dolbeer; a sister, Euxine (Richard) Faix; sister-in-law, Emily Dolbeer; nieces and nephews: Pamela, Craig, Melissa, Alan, Susan, Barry, and Tracy; many great nieces and great nephews; as well as a close personal friend whom he considered a daughter, Shelley Anderson. Robert was a Professor at Wittenberg University's School of Music for 30 dedicated years. He participated in many leaderships roles in the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He was a member and choir director at St. John Lutheran Church and Hope Lutheran. From the age of 18 until 82 Robert directed church choirs. He was a beautiful person who touched many lives. A graveside service for Robert will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Pastor John Pollock officiating.
