News Death Notice

FREY, Ronald R. 78, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in his home. He was born on June 12, 1934 in Portsmouth, Ohio the son of Lawrence and Ena (Grubbs) Frey. He served our country in the United States Air Force as a medic and office specialist stationed in Madrid, Spain. After coming home he began working at International Harvester and retired after over thirty years of service as a Quality Control Engineer Expediter. He loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, and animals. He was also skilled in carpentry and enjoyed reading. Ron is survived by his wife Manoli (San Jose Benito) Frey of Springfield, four children and their spouses: Belinda and Andrew Wilkins of Virginia; Allen and Jo Ann Frey of Chillicothe, Yvonne and Dwight Dobbins of Springfield, and Veronica Frey of Springfield; five grandchildren: Jeremy (Amber) Dobbins, Dustin Frey, Nathan Wilkins, Lauren Wilkins, and Elijah Dobbins; one great granddaughter, Isabella Dobbins, three sisters: Donna Boggs of Fremont, Ohio; Marilyn (Junior) Lovingshimer of Springfield, and Annabell Donnelly of Springfield; several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Pat and Gloria Rice, and Doug Montieff. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 4-7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. with his nephew, Pastor Doug Thompson officiating.
