News Death Notice

McClanahan-Caroppoli, Sharon Kay 56, of Springfield, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2013. She was born July 7, 1956 in Springfield, the daughter of John and Melvina (Baker) McClanahan. Sharon was a member of the El Temple Church. She loved animals and the wilderness and would always do anything for anyone in need. She had been employed at Seminole Villa. Survivors include one daughter; Kelly Jo McClanahan, Springfield, five grandchildren; Kaitlyn Rose, Kody Dean, Michael Dean II, Ashley Dean and Marisa Dean, her father; John McClanahan, Springfield, two sisters; Melody Cook and Debbie Jerald and many other loving family and friends including; Vicki Kirkland and Shirley Neff. She was preceded in death by her mother; Melvina McClanahan, her brother; Tony McClanahan and her beloved dog; Tia. At Sharon's request, there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clark County Humane Society. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY- ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
