William Lee BRADEN

News Death Notice

BRADEN, William Lee 67, of Medway, went home to see Jesus on Saturday evening, March 8, 2014 in his residence. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 16, 1947, the son of the late Willie and Wanetta (Wright) Braden. Bill worked in construction for many years. He is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Julie, Claudette and Jeff Gilbert, Sharon and Gary Dowen, Dawn and Scott Eanes, and Cora and John Whitacre; a son, BJ (William) Braden; fifteen grandchildren, Kenneth, Kevin, Andy, Chris, Matthew, Blake, Danielle, Seth, Jerika, Jarred, Sarah, Joseph, Bryant, Brittany, and Alec; and many great grandchildren. He was a brother to Julie, Richard, Terry, Ricky, Louis, Phyllis, Ronnie, Marilyn, and Timmy, some of whom have preceded him in death. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Rae (Van Hoose) Braden in 2010; a daughter, Violet Allred; a grandson, Charlie Wooten; and a great grandson, Landon Zimmerman. At Bill's request, no services will be observed, but the family wishes for you to remember him in your own special way. As Bill would say, "I'll see you again." His favorite bible verse was the 23rd Psalm: "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside the still waters, He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." The LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
