KEEFER, DaWayne V. "Chottey" Sr. age 76 of Springfield, passed away July 31, 2011. He was born February 1, 1935 in Three Rivers, MI to the late Clarence and Flossie Keefer. In addition to his parents, Chottey was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. "P.J." Keefer. Chottey is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Pratt; step-daughter, Mandy Ward and her husband, Bill; step-grandchildren: Natalie and William; sister, Pauline Etter; and personal friend, Beverly Burns. Chottey was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Moose, Eagles, AMVETS and American Legion. At his request, there will be no services. Hi my name is Sarah Fuller (Keefer)> DaWayne V. Keefer also had two sons and a daughter DaWayne V. Keefer Jr. (Vic), Sarah C. Fuller(Keefer- Sally)and David M. Keefer. My greatest memories of my father is when he taught me how to ride my pony when we live in Three Rivers on the farm we had and those sunday when he would take us to the A&W Root Beer Shop in town for floats. If anyone wants to contact me I can be reached at 757-599-4550. I loved my father dearly and he'll always remain in my HEART.
