News Death Notice
THOMPSON, Kenneth L. age 100, of The Ohio Masonic Home in Springfield, Ohio and formerly of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Ken was retired from Timken Roller Bearing after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church. A member of Neoacacia Lodge #595 F&AM, Ken was a 32nd Degree Mason, Valley of Columbus and a member of Corinthian Chapter #393, OES. He was preceded in death by his first wife Bernice and his second wife Florence, his grandson Kenneth L. Hill, granddaughter Julie K. Pindell and step-son William R. Parker. Ken is survived by his daughters: Daisy L. Hill and Cynthia Ann Burke, both of Columbus; Jan Stephenson, of Springfield; and Betty (Tom) Straub, of Gilroy, CA; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 11:00am.-2:00pm. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2012 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 515 High St., Worthington, OH 43085 (614)-885-4006. A Masonic Service will be held at 1:30pm. MONDAY at the funeral home. Graveside Burial Services will be held 2:30pm. MONDAY at Union Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Booth, officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider memorial contributions to: The Ohio Masonic Home Foundation, 5 Masonic Drive, Springfield, OH 45504-3658 in Kens memory.
