News Death Notice
HAGER, Casey J. 28, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012 in his hometown of Delray Beach, Florida. He was born November 25, 1983 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Kent E. and Anita R. (Hixon) Hager, Tampa, Florida. In his youth he was passionate about playing baseball, dirt bike riding and developed a love for music and the guitar. His favorite times were spent with his extended family at Indian Lake. He attended Briggs High School in Columbus before relocating to Florida in 2005. For the past 2 ½ years, Casey was employed by an architectural woodworking firm where he was valued for his dedication, efficiency and responsibility. He was a key member to the team and his job was central to his life. Casey was afforded many God-given talents, among them, his intellect, sense of humor, a spirited energy and hard-driven work ethic. Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his only brother, Chad L. Hager, Columbus; a beloved friend, Danielle Crivellone, Florida; paternal grandmother Norma J. Hager, Enon; maternal grandmother, Cyrilla M. Hixon, Springfield; aunts and uncles, Frank & Marilyn Demma, Springfield, Greg & Kelly Hixon, South Charleston, Kurt & Linda Hager, Springfield and Stephen Hixon, Springfield; nine cousins and their spouses, Mark & Danielle Demma, Andrew Demma, Christopher & Brittney Demma, James & Suzanne Hixon, Jessica Hixon, J & Nicole Yelton, Bradley Hawks, Amanda (Hager) Dillow and Jessica Hager and four second cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles W. Hager; maternal grandfather, Howard M. Hixon; paternal great grandmother, Mildred Ross. Through all stages of his life, he was blessed to be surrounded by his family who loved him without condition, caring and dedicated teachers, mentors of many descriptions and loyal and supportive friends. Casey was well loved upon entering this world and remained well loved as he leaves it. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family is being served by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
