News Death Notice

WHITE, David O. 67, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 11, 1945 in Springfield the son of Jeanette B. (Novotny) and Richard H. Wehler and Fred and Agnes White. He graduated from Tecumseh High School class of 1963, Wright State University with a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in clinical psychology. He then enlisted in the United States Army serving our country in the Vietnam War. After returning home he graduated from Toledo University with a degree in law. David practiced law in Springfield for fifteen years. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Cheryl (Patterson) White, his mother Jeanette, one son, Christopher L. Runyan of Springfield, brother, Jon R. Wehler of Springfield, step brother, Stephen (Lena) Snider of California; four grandsons: Justin, Corey, Zachary, and Douglass Runyan; two great grandchildren, aunts and uncle, David and Judith Hartman, and Dorothy Novotny, cousin, Duane Novotny, father and mother-in-law: Jack and Bernice Patterson, and brothers-in-law: Jack (Sherry) Patterson, Bryan (Latonya) Patterson, and Kelly (Kim) Patterson. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Richard and Fred, and step-mother Agnes. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Logan Runyan. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Reverend Bobbie Predmore officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 12-2:00p.m. prior to the time of service. Burial will be in the Ferncliff Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation to the nurses and staff at the ICU and ICU Step-Down unit, and the Respiratory Staff at the Springfield Regional Medical Center, and Drs.
