MARTIN, Donna Ruth Lightner 65 of Charlotte, NC passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord, NC. Services are pending at this time. Donna was born on January 16, 1947 in Clark County, Ohio to Ruth Headley Lightner and the late Donald Edward Lightner, Sr. Donna was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a caregiver to the disabled. She is survived by: daughter, Lori Hackworth and husband Paul of Frisco, TX; sons, Ernest Kempf of Urbana, OH, Larry Arantz, Jr of Pineville, NC, Robert Arantz of Springfield, OH, and Jeremy Kempf and wife Natasha of Waxhaw, NC; mother, Ruth Headley Lightner of New Carlisle, OH; siblings, Erna Baker, Donald Lightner, Jr, and Marilea Paugh; sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Martin family with local arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.hartsellfh.com.

You are such A True Hero!! And in the brevity of our friendship I saw a woman of genuine compassion who fought for the rights of children,loved and nurtured them as if they were your very own, embraced the wounded and restored hope when their lives were all about "NO's"...YOUR kindness is like an abyss no human can never reach...we will miss you my friend.
