BROWN, Frank Ernest 69, of Springfield went to be with the Lord on Friday February 15, 2013. He was born January 20, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Jesse and Bertha (Boyd) (Brown) Burrell. He was a member of the Hillside Avenue Church of God. Frank was an avid fisherman, artist, and outdoorsman. Described as having the mind of an inventor with the hands of an artist, he was awarded two patents for his inventions. A devoted lover of God and family, he volunteered at his church as an usher, member of the Benevolence Committee, and art teacher. Survivors include his former wife and best friend; Diana Brown, daughters; Lisa Brown (Jay Bundy) of Dayton and Vicki (Michael) Dolph of South Charleston, special nephew who Frank viewed as a son; Tony LeFever of Cincinnati, granddaughters; Charish (Andrew) Paul, Cheyenne Pinkerman (fiancé, Dustin Sickles), and Brooke McCrae (Tony), great-grandchildren; Jackson, Reagon, Hayden, Bailey, Madison, Wyatt, and Weston, brothers and sister; Jesse "Mac" (Joan) Brown of Mechanicsburg, Judy (Bo) Lefevere of Sparks, Nevada, and Darren Burrell (Stefanie Kuhl) of Germany, and special friend; Ellen Hagerman of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father; George Burrell, and special grandmother; Mary Boyd. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6:00PM in the Hillside Avenue Church of God with Pastors Mike Criner and Tim Downing officiating. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Benevolence Committee at Hillside Avenue Church of God. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
