News Death Notice

SANGER, Gary Lance 70, of Springfield passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 in Cape Coral Hospital. He was born November 3, 1942 in Springfield, the son of the late Miles B. and Emma Lou (Davis) Sanger. Gary retired with 44 years of service from International Harvester as the manager of manufacturing projects. He enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his wife, fishing, boating, bicycling but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Gary will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Carol D. (Black) Sanger; one son, Miles H. (Mary) Sanger of Grove City, Ohio; one daughter, Darlene M. (Scott) Perrin of Springfield; one brother, Scott (Leeta) Sanger of Iowa; four sisters, Melinda (Bud) Finch of Maine, Cheryl (Sam) Palone of North Carolina, Caryl (Jim) Friel of Ohio and Nikki (Mike) Smith of Ohio; two beloved grandsons, Matthew Scott Perrin and Sawyer Lance Perrin of Springfield; one great grandson, Zavier; one uncle, Stanley Sanger of Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Keith Sarver officiating. Burial will follow in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
