News Death Notice
CONLEY, Sr., John W. 58, of Springfield died unexpectedly April 26, 2013. He was born on November 27, 1954 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Arnold and Juell Conley. John retired from Honda of America, but of course, he was never able to stay still very long so he accepted a position as a part-time associate with Target. He was a member of the Machinist and Union Clubs. Most of his life, he was an avid bowler and softball player but throughly enjoyed all sports. Most importantly, he lived for his family, especially his wife, Barbara. John was preceded in death by his parents; sister Patty Campbell; brothers Michael and Frank Conley; and mother-in-law Barbara (Marrs) Hawk. Survivors include the love of his life Barbara Conley; daughters Angel (Tracy) Jacobs and Kristina (Charles) Hansgen; son John W. (finance' April Wills) Conley, Jr.; brother Eddie (Julie) Conley; sister Viola Sue Conley; grandchildren Cassandra, Nicholas, Christian, Darrian, Justin, Joey, Johnathan, Kendra, Tyler, Macee, and Baby "Smudge"; great-granddaughter Arrianna; sister-in-law Katrina Wellman; brother-in-law Roy (Bev) Marrs; and father-in-law Robert Hawk. One of the greatest gifts a man could give is to help another and John did that with various deeds throughout his life and even after by being an organ donor. Services to honor John will beTuesday at 7:00PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME, where family and friends may call two hours prior to services.
