News Death Notice

NICKELL, Juanita J. 92, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 02, 2013 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 13, 1920 in Ross County, Ohio the daughter of Samuel M. and Rena Della (Mathews) Roosa. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Linda Williams of Springfield, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrie and Mark Childers of Wichita Falls, Texas; and Kelly and Junior Tolliver of Lexington, Ohio; six grandchildren: Stacey (Jude) Stanley, Tracey (Nello) Adducchio, Scott (Cherry) Morris, Jenna (Phil) Chapa, Heather (Mark) Brauchler, and Nick (Heather) Kanouse; fourteen great grandchildren, two sisters and a brother-in-law: Polly and Jerry Salyers of Sun City, Florida; and Phyllis Whitmer of Springfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marion C. Nickell in 1988, three brothers and two sisters. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 5-8:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Ken Woode officiating. Entombment will be in the Rose Hill Mausoleum. The family would like to express their appreciation to the caregivers at Oakwood Village Woodlands Assisted Living for their years of loving care.
