News Death Notice
MONGOLD, Kayla Lynn 12, of Springfield died Sunday, June 24, 2012 as a result of a traffic accident. She was born July 7, 1999 in Springfield the daughter of Shon L. and Gloria J. (Holycross) Mongold. Kayla was about to become an 8th Grader at Hayward Middle School and was a member of Rubyville Community Church. She is survived by her mother Gloria Mongold and fiance' Curtis Clemons; her father Shon Mongold and fiance' Tonya Daniels; three brothers Cody, Justin and Shon M. Mongold; two step brothers Christopher and Steven Daniels; three step sisters Catlin Daniels, Miracle and Kayley Clemons, all of Springfield; grandparents Roger and Mary Mongold of Lucasville, Ohio and Charles Holycross of Amarillo, Texas; great grandmother Norma Rapp of Springfield; aunts Angie Boyd and Tina (Joseph) Lickliter; uncle Chris (Brenda) Mongold; her best friend Brianna Frantz and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Norma Holycross; uncle Marvin Lee Boyd and great uncle Tom Rapp. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The service to honor Kayla's life will be Saturday at 10:30 AM. in the Memorial Home with Rev. Brian Baer officiating. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
