News Death Notice
EMMERT, Matthew S. 48, of Hilliard, Ohio, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 24, 2013 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Springfield on December 4, 1964 the son of John C. Emmert and Ellen (Hynes) Keeler. He was a 1983 graduate of Kenton Ridge High School, a graduate of Northwest Technical College, Lima, Ohio. He loved the Cincinnati Reds, Fishing, Golf and his cat, Rocket. He worked for Merrill Corporation, Grove City, Ohio for many years. Survivors include his father and step-mother, John C. (Patricia C.) Emmert of Cincinnati; four siblings, Laura Emmert Reed of Springfield, Julie Emmert (Dave Silvius) of Dublin, Ohio, Pete Emmert of Hilliard, Ohio and J.D. (Shanna) Keeler of Powell, Ohio and six nieces and nephews, Christopher Reed, Katie Silvius, John, Andrew, Lillian and Lucy Keeler. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen in 2005 and step-father, Jerry Keeler in 2012. His funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME with Fr. Ed Gearhart officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior from 5-7 p.m. Inurnment will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
