News Death Notice

REMMETTER, Paul Edward "Eddie" 68, of Springfield, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 25, 2012. He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. Eddie was born in Roswell, New Mexico May 28, 1943 to Mary Eloise (Graeber) and Paul Edward Remmetter, who passed during WWII. He was raised by his mother, Eloise, and her husband John W. Jordan. He was a member of the 1961 graduating class from Springfield Catholic Central. He retired from Navistar in 1998 after 36 years of service and also from AutoZone in 2003. Eddie adored his grandchildren and followed all of their sports and activities, was an avid fisherman his entire life and a member of the Clark County Bassmasters. He is survived by his wife, Lois Elaine (Yeazell), whom he married at St. Raphael Church on July 2, 1966, four children, Mark E. (Brenda) Remmetter, John P. (Allyson) Remmetter, Melinda A. (Joe) Krupp and Scott D. (Alicia) Remmetter and eleven grandchildren, Shelby, Jordan, RJ, Josh, Marissa, Jared, Riley, Josie, Alexis, Amanda, and Jack. He is also survived by his Aunt, Ann Gauger of Dove Canyon, California, whom was his mother's twin sister. He was proceeded in death by his parents, John W. Jordan, and his infant son. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Bernard Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic Central High School.
