News Death Notice

BRANNAN, Miriam Louise beloved mother went to be with her Lord & Savior on Fri., April 13, 2012. Miriam was born on October 22, 1920 in Mercer County, Ohio to Robert and Maude Keeling. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James K Brannan who went to be with the Lord on Sept 13, 2010, and 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She leaves behind 3 children - Daughter Carole Gordon & husband William, Warsaw, IN, son James & wife Carolyn Brannan, Brentwood, Ca, son John & wife Barbara Gehrs, Bellbrook, Oh, four grandchildren - Daniel Gordon, Warsaw, IN, Andrew Brannan & wife Gabby, great grandson Aiden, Zanesville, OH, Sean Brannan & wife Adrianne, Antioch, CA, & Jared Brannan, Brentwood, CA. Miriam graduated in 1939 from Northwest Business College in Lima, Oh then moved with her family to Springfield, OH. She worked at Steel Products Mfg. Co where she met the love of her life, James Brannan. She and Jim were married on December 24, 1941. She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, Spfld where she served as church treasurer for many years. She was active and led many women's groups. She and Jim were also youth group leaders for several years. She belonged to the Donnels Creek Church of the Brethren for the last several years. She was an avid reader, loved music, an accomplished seamstress, and loved to eat out till the day she died. She will be greatly missed by her family who was her greatest joy. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Tad Hobert officiating. Burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
