News Death Notice
BALLENGER, Dorothy Jeanne 84, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2012. She was born on June 13, 1927 to the late Marion and Margaret (Connell) Ward. Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Laurie Ballenger; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and George Jr. Long; grandchildren, Matt and Wendy Fisher and Lindsay and Casey Ballenger; and her beloved dog and cat, Coal and Hank. Dorothy is preceded In death by her husband, Donald H. Ballenger (1978). She worked at Forest Glen as a receptionist, at Kissell's and K-Mart. Dorothy was also a Knights of Pythias sister. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 12-1 p.m. at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME with services beginning at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
