News Death Notice
FRANK, Dorothy Jane 87, of Springfield, died Monday morning, June 25, 2012 in Ridgewood Care Center. She was born in Springfield on February 15, 1925, the daughter of the late Phillip and Martha (Heath) Schreiber. Dorothy was a graduate of Olive Branch School and retired from Hart's Family Center. She was a dedicated member of Fifth Evangelical Lutheran Church. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Fred Frank, with whom she made her home and Tom Frank (Debbie) of Springfield; two sisters, Carol Jean (Don) Brown of Westville and Pat (Bob) Shirley of Springfield; six grandchildren, Tami (Steve) Mayes, Heather Wilcoxon, Katie Hale, Kim Frank, Jason (Kelly) Frank, and Tricia Frank (Jason); eleven great grandchildren, Ashley, Chelsea, Josh, Logan, Landon, Nadia, Harlem, Kaylee, Molly, Lilly, and Michael; one great-great granddaughter, Brynley; an "adopted daughter", Carmelita (Ralph) Campbell; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred V. Frank in 2002; a daughter, Cathy Frank; and a brother, O.E. "Bud" Schreiber. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Dorothy's funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Fifth Lutheran Church with Pastor Carol Gesalman officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 444 W. Harding Rd., Springfield, OH 45504 or Fifth Lutheran Church, 1331 E. High St., Springfield, OH 45505.
