News Death Notice

ESTES, Cloye age 83 of Springfield passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. He was born on September 20, 1930 to the late William Robert and Polly (Crowley) Estes in Middlesboro, Kentucky. In addition to his parents Cloye is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Estes, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Loretta (Howard) Linger, Cathy (Ronald) Mershon, Randy (Linda) Estes, Joyce (Glenn) Shope, and Betty (Frank) Gillman; grandchildren: Paul, Ron, Angie, Michael, Christopher, Lisa, Ryan, and Travis; 13 great-grandchildren; Cloye's partner of several years, Elin Rigsby, her children, Eddie (Candy) Rigsby and Shawn Rigsby, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild as well as Cloye's numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He retired from Columbia Gas of Ohio after 35 years of dedicated service. He was also a member of Moose Lodge 1533. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 17, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 pm at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS LIFE CELEBRATION CENTER, Springfield. Funeral service will follow on Tuesday, February 18 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Rick Clos officiating. Burial at Ferncliff Cemetery.
