News Death Notice

LUTHE, Charles Robert "Chas" 16 of Springfield, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014. He was born on June 4, 1997 in Springfield. He is survived by his parents, Suzanne M. Luthe and Gary W. Osborn. Chas was a sophomore at Tecumseh High School where he enjoyed participating in Jr. R.O.T.C., playing football, track and his many friendships. Chas loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, horseback riding, and playing with his dogs. He especially enjoyed historical reenacting from Revolutionary to Civil War events. Most recently he was proud to be a member of the 6th Ohio Volunteer Calvary Company B. Chas is also survived by his grandparents: Bob and Sherie Wood and Michelle Luthe; aunt and uncles: Sandra (Bob) Stricko, Mark Luthe, Jill Trinklein, and Jim Martin; cousins: Erica, Amanda, and Bobby Stricko, and Lucas Trinklein, Rachel Richards; other loving family members and many many friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved Pappa, Charles Luthe. A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of his life and faith will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
