PITSTICK, William J. 65, South Charleston, died Monday, March 31, 2014, 8:21 PM in his residence. He was born August 6, 1948 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Richard and Florence (Corbitt) Pitstick. He was a devoted University Of Dayton Flyer basketball fan. Bill also was an avid Notre Dame football fan. He was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Church, where he served as a member of the parish council. He enjoyed his many friends from his years of work at the Champion Company in Springfield. Bill is survived by: his loving wife, Linda (Baker) Pitstick, whom he married May 10,1975; son: Matthew B. (Melissa) Pitstick of Springfield; daughter: Amy (Dan) Dale of Newport, Kentucky; sister: Jean (Icle) Davis of London; grandchildren: Ethan and Eva Pitstick; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Cheryl and Jim O'Brien of Morrow, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Janet and brother: Tom. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 5, 2015, 11:30 AM. at Saint Charles Borromeo Church, South Charleston, with Father Anthony Geraci officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Charles Borromeo Cemetery, South Charleston. Friends are invited to call at the church Saturday from 9:30-11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Charles Borromeo Church Building Fund or .
